Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held a meeting with his senior Cabinet colleagues at Parliament House. The meeting came in the wake of suicide of a farmer during Aam Aadmi Party rally in the national capital yesterday. It is believed that during the meeting, Home Minister Rajnath Singh briefed the Prime Minister about the sad incident. Union Ministers Arun Jaitely, Venkaiah Naidu and Nitin Gadkari were present during the meet.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi has also submitted a report to the Home Ministry over the incident. Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and Police Commissioner called on Mr. Rajnath Singh at Parliament House and briefed him in detail. Talking to reporters after the meeting, Mr. Bassi said that an FIR has already been lodged under different sections of IPC in this case. When asked whether case will be registered against the Aam Aadmi Party, which was the organizer of the event, he said whatever needs to be done will be done.
