Election Commission of India today transferred many senior administrative and police officials of Uttar Pradesh. Few hours before polling of first phase in state, Commission transferred 2 DIG, 2 IG along with 6 SSP and 4 District Magistrates. Commission has ordered transfer of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Ghazipur, Hardoi, Jalaon, Pilibhit, Fatehpur and Sonbhadra District.
Commission also changed District Magistrates of Behraich, Kannaoj,Devariya and Sonbhadra Districts. In its order Election commission has asked state government to immediately transfer Excise Commissioner of State. It also ordered to change DIG of Gorakhpur and Azamgarh Police range and transfer IG of Bareily and Varanasi.
