Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi and two Election Commissioners are in Patna today on a 2-day visit to Bihar to review preparations for the remaining phases of Assembly Elections.
They will have discussions with Civil and Police authorities and will also meet representatives of political parties in Patna today. They will also review of Election Expenditure Management with CEO, Police, Excise and Income Tax officers.
The Commissioners will visit Muzaffarpur tomorrow and review poll preparedness with DEOs, SSPs, Commissioners, IGs and DIGs.
Before returning to Delhi, the Commissioners will address a Press Conference at Muzaffarpur.
Polling for the first two phases has already been held. While 3rd phase is scheduled for the 28th of this month, the 4th phase will be held on the 1st of next month. The final phase will take place on the 5th of next month.
The counting of votes will be taken up on the 8th of November.
