Earthquake of 6.6 magnitude was felt in many parts of north India,fghanistan.
According to National Centre for Seismology. The epicenter of earthquake is in Hindukush mountain range. In Delhi earthquake as felt at 4:02pm.
Tremors were felt in Delhi and Kashmir, witnesses said, forcing residents to leave homes.
There was no word from the Indian meterological centre about the quake yet. TV reports said there were no reports of any casualties
Earthquake tremors were also felt in Afghanistan, parts of Pakistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Swat, Chitral, Azad Jammu and Kashmir are among the affected areas. No loss of life has been reported as yet.
According to Dawn news the 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck at a depth of 236 kilometres with its epicentre in Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region, the Pakistan Meteorological Department said.
Tremors were also felt in parts of Afghanistan and India, DawnNews reported.
Fear and panic spread among residents, who came out of their houses.
Pakistan is located in the Indus-Tsangpo Suture Zone, which is roughly 200 km north of the Himalaya Front and is defined by an exposed ophiolite chain along its southern margin.
