The Vice Chancellor of the Aligarh Muslim University has appointed Dr. Rahat Abrar as the Director, Urdu Academy, on the recommendation of a General Selection Committee held recently.
Dr. Rahat Abrar has been associated with the Public Relations Office for more than thirty years and was reappointed by the Vice Chancellor as Consultant, Public Relations for a period of six months.
A scholar of distinction, Dr. Abrar has several books to his credit and holds special place amongst the people who have rendered distinguished services for the promotion of Urdu.
