Dr Ambedkar dedicated whole life for poor people: Smriti Irani


Smriti-IraniUnion Minister for Information and Broadcasting Smriti Irani has said that Dr BR Ambedkar dedicated his whole life for the poor people. He sacrificed a lot for equality of people. Ms Irani was addressing media after flagging off a Samarasata Rally on the birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Dr Ambedkar at Munshiganj of Amethi.

Paying homage to Baba Saheb, she said various programmes commemorating constitution maker Baba Saheb are being organised in Amethi. She said Samarasata day gives the message of brotherhood and love.

Replying to a question Ms Irani said that centre has done so much development in Amethi which previous government could not in last 40 to 50 years. She said people are believing in the BJP’s work and going with the party.

Ms Irani has several programmes at Amethi today.

Yesterday Mrs Irani inaugurated Antyoday Health Checkup camp at district Hospital Gauriganj. She honoured 181 village heads of open dedication free -ODF villages at Swachhta Pradhan Convention at Navodaya Vidhyalaya. At Kathaura of Jagdishpur in the district, the minister laid the foundation stone of KVK and Neem Project.

By this Neem Project above fifty thousand women could be benefitted and increase their income by collecting Niboli– Neem seeds in the season. Mrs Irani was welcomed by Muslim women on Tripple Talaq issue at BHEL township in return the Minister assured them for all possible help.
