The Supreme Court-appointed interlocutors today again met Shaheen Bagh protestors in the national capital. Interlocutors Advocate Sanjay Hedge and Sadhana Ramachandran visited to the site where people have been on a sit-in since the last two months against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Advocate Sadhna Ramachandran told media that mediation talks are continuing and they will come back again tomorrow to meet the protesters.

On Monday, the Apex Court had observed that the blockade of the road at Shaheen Bagh is troubling and suggested the protesters go to another site where no public place will be blocked.

It, however, upheld their right to protest. The two Advocates Sanjay Hegde and Sadhana Ramachandran were appointed by the court to play a constructive role as an interlocutors to persuade the protestors to move to an alternative site. Former Chief Information Commissioner Wajahat Habibullah was also appointed for their assistance in talking to the protesters.
