Defence Ministry today gave its nod for CBI inquiry in the Disproportionate Assets case of two serving Major Generals of Indian Army. The inquiry has been ordered against Major General Ashok Kumar and Major General S S Lamba. They are accused of paying bribe to get promotion.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has asked the CBI to investigate all movable and immovable assets earned by them. This is for the first time that an inquiry has been ordered by the government against top serving army officers.
