At least 15 people were killed and over dozen injured in a deadly blast on a bus carrying Government officials in Peshawar, Pakistan.
The attack took place in the northwest city of Peshawar on a main road after the bus picked up government employees from areas surrounding Peshawar and was transporting them to work in the city.
Senior police official Mohammad Kashi said it is premature to comment about the nature of the blast but it appears that explosives were planted inside the bus.
There were about 40-50 people on the bus. There is no confirmation whether it was a terror attack or not. The security forces have reached the spot.
Injured people have been taken to a nearby Hospital for medical treatment.
The bomb was placed inside the bus was exploded when the packed vehicle reached Peshawar from Mardan .Two women and a child were among the dead.The injured were shifted to Lady reading hospital.The security forces and police cordoned off the entire area and started a search operation.
Peshawar has seen scores of attacks on civilians as well as law enforcement personnel in the past.The city is also the home to the XI Corps, an administrative corp of the Pakistan Army.Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack.
