kashmirCRPF has said situation in Jammu and Kashmir is far better than last year. Briefing media in New Delhi, Director General, and CRPF K Durga Prasad today said stone pelting incidents have come down. He said there is excellent cooperation between Army and CRPF who are working hard to normalise the situation in the Valley.

He also said pellet guns are being modified to minimise face or eye injuries. Director General Prasad also informed that Chetan Cheeta, a CRPF officer who was injured in Kashmir last week, is recovering.

He said naxal situtation has also improved in the last year and large number of cadets has surrendered.
