The Communist Party of India – Marxist (CPIM) expressed deep concern over the dengue outbreak in West Bengal. The CPIM state secretary Dr. Surjyakanta Mishra accused the state government of attempting to cover up the situation by suppressing the right number of deaths.
Referring to Ms. Mamata Banerjee’s allegation that some private laboratories are misleading patients, Mr. Mishra said, her comments were totally diverted from the real status. He alleged, the state government is pressurizing private pathological laboratories not to give reports of dengue attacks.
