5,007 new COVID positive cases and 110 deaths are reported today in Karnataka. Till date, the positive cases are numbered at 85,870 and those discharged after recovery are 31,347.
Bengaluru urban district continues to report the highest number of positive cases. Today the district has added 2,267 new COVID positive cases and 50 deaths.
Mysuru, Udupi, Bagalkot, Dakshina Kannada, Dharwad, Kalburgi, Vijayapura and Ballary are other districts with high caseloads. There are 611 COVID cases in ICU across the state.
The state has been making steady headway in COVID test. In the last 24 hours, 7,411 rapid antigen tests, 22,408 RT-PCR and other tests were done, taking the total to 29,819 COVID tests.
