The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Wednesday announced a nationwide protest campaign beginning June 11, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination irregularities, paper leaks, technical glitches, and administrative failures affecting students across the country.
Addressing a press conference, CJP leaders said the large turnout at Jantar Mantar on June 6 demonstrated growing dissatisfaction among students and youth over the functioning of the education system. They claimed that students from different parts of the country had participated in the protest to seek accountability from the Education Ministry.
According to the party, the protest campaign will commence in Pune and subsequently be held in several cities, including Lucknow, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Jaipur, and Hyderabad. The party said the agitation would continue until the Education Minister steps down from office.
CJP alleged that repeated controversies surrounding examinations have adversely affected millions of students and their families. The party maintained that responsibility for the alleged lapses rests with the Education Ministry and reiterated its demand for the Minister’s resignation.
The party also warned that if the government fails to act on its demand, students and youth from across the country would assemble at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 20 for an indefinite peaceful sit-in protest. CJP leaders said the protest would continue until accountability is fixed and their demand is met.
