Pressure is mounting on Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan amid continuing controversy over the alleged NEET examination paper leak and the recent row surrounding CBSE examination results, with fresh demands emerging for his resignation.
The issue gained further traction after Cockroach Janata Party CJP at press conference held here demanded resignations of Dharmender Pradhan.
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) held a major press conference at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi. During the briefing, the party introduced its three newly appointed spokespersons—Saurav Das (Chief Spokesperson), Vijeta Dahiya, and Ashutosh Ranka—and outlined plans for a June 6 protest in the capital.
Investigative journalist Saurav Das, while addressing the press conference said: “Abhijeet Dipke will land in Delhi on June 6 morning at 8 AM. He has called upon his supporters to come to the airport and receive him, and all of them, along with Wangchuk ji, to come to Parliament Street with him and seek permission for a protest at Jantar Mantar. We invite everyone from all political parties to be part of the protest.”
Earlier CJP President Abhijit Dekhe announced that he would launch a campaign in the national capital seeking the Education Minister’s removal. In a statement posted on social media, the Gen Z leader said he would arrive in New Delhi on June 6 and hold a protest at Jantar Mantar, urging students and young citizens across the country to join him in demanding accountability from the government.
Dekhe alleged that the controversies surrounding national examinations had shaken public confidence in the education system and called for responsibility to be fixed at the highest level.
His demand has generated considerable discussion in political circles in the national capital, particularly at a time when the government is facing questions over the conduct of major national examinations.
The demand for accountability comes in the wake of recent developments in the education sector, including the removal of the CBSE Chairman and the Secretary, Higher Education, following the examination-related controversy.
Meanwhile, speculation is rife in political circles that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may undertake a Cabinet reshuffle later this month. Sources indicated that the exercise is likely to take place during the third week of June, fuelling intense speculation over the future of several ministers.
