The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) took over the security of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Bengaluru with the initial strength of 80 personnel on December 19.
This unit is headed by Dy.Commandant rank officer.
Security of DATA Centre of UIDAI is of utmost importance as the establishment is very sensitive and confidential biometric and personal information of the residents of India are stored and maintained at this centre, said CISF in its release on Friday.
Bengaluru as a hub of iconic electronic IT centres of the country is always under constant threat from anti-national elements.
