China has once again opposed a bid by US, UK and France to designate Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed Chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist by the UN.

India raised the issue with the Chinese govt even as NIA special court declared him and 3 others proclaimed offenders.

China has put a “hold” on the proposal, which comes barely weeks after India’s bid to get Azhar banned by the UN were scuttled by Beijing last December.
