Prominent leaders P Chidambaram, Kapil Sibal and Jairam Ramesh are among the eight Congress candidates, whose names were today finalised for the elections to Rajya Sabha. Mr Chidambaram will be the Congress nominee from Maharashtra, Mr Sibal from Uttar Pradesh and Jairam Ramesh from Karnataka.
Besides, the party has nominated Ambika Soni from Punjab, Oscar Fernandes from Karnataka, Pradeep Tamta from Uttarakhand. Vivek Tankha will be the party nominee from Madhya Pradesh and Chhaya Verma from Chhattisgarh.
