Talking to media-persons at Air Force Central Air command Headquarters at Bamrauli here, Air Chief Nayak said that he was not in favour of CDS at this juncture.

Defending his views on the concept of CDS, he said, the Armed forces have always been working with synergy. Replying on the strength of Indian Air Force squadron which has been reduced in recent years, Mr. Nayak clarified that the acquisition and advancement of Air Force has already been going on and new generation fighter planes are being inducted. AIR Marshal said that by 2027, the Air Force squadron will be increased from present 34 to 40 and more. He said, after induction of fifth generation fighter aircraft and other light combat aircraft, IAF’s strength and squadron size would be effectively increased.
