CBI Director Anil Sinha today sought to dismiss claims that the premiere investigating agency of the country was acting as a political tool and asserted that during his tenure no political leader had contacted him to seek any favour. Participating in a private news channel program in New Delhi, Mr Sinha said efforts were on to bring back Dawood Ibrahim with all the agencies of the government working for it.
Mr Sinha however added that if similar cooperation is received from other countries, efforts to bring Dawood will also be successful. He also disclosed that it was a six-month-long operation during which Rajan was located and brought back to face the law in the country.
