Campaigning for the second phase of assembly elections is on full swing in Gujarat. Addressing a rally in Bhabhar in Banaskantha district, Prime Minister said when there were floods in Patan and Banaskantha, Congress MLAs were relaxing in Bengaluru whereas BJP leaders were working with people, helping in relief operations.
He said, those who did not stand with Banaskantha in the bad times of flood cannot be excepted to serve either this district or the state.
The Prime Minister will also address meetings in Kalol, Himmatnagar and Nikol. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will release the vision document of BJP later this afternoon in Ahmedabad.
Meanwhile, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today questioned the BJP government on the Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana which was designed for the development of tribal people.
He asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi where did the 55,000 crore rupees allotted for VKJ scheme go.
In a tweet, Mr. Gandhi also raised questions on the land rights and employment opportunities for the tribal youth. Mr Gandhi is canvassing for votes in Ahmedabad, Chhota Udaipur, Kheda and Anand districts.
The first phase of assembly elections will be held tomorrow.
