Meanwhile, BJP President Amit Shah has appealed all democracy loving Indians to rise to the occasion and speak up against what he called fraudulent and anti-democratic means adopted by the Congress just for the sake of power. In a statement issued last night, Mr Shah said Congress is now using fake voter IDs to create fictitious voters and rig Karnataka assembly elections.

Issue of EPIC cards aand voters application acknowledgement receipt discovered in an apartment in Bengaluru is looked into by the election commission. The Chief Electoral Officer Sanjiv Kumar has informed that the total number of 9,896 EPIC cards and voter application acknowledgement receipts were found.

Also detailed survey formats with family number names, electricity meter numbers, mobile details, caste, voter ID, Aadhar ID, Widow ID, Old age ID, BPL card details along with photographs of the houses were found from the spot.

BJP national spokesperson, Dr. Sambit Patra has said that multiple evidences have emerged clearly establishing the Congress link to fake voter ID scam.

In connection with the fake ID case, Dr. Patra said, the Jalahalli Police have arrested Congress Corporator representing Yeshwanthpur ward, G. K. Venkatesh, and Nataraj, who is another close associate of Congress MLA Muniratna Naidu.
