BJP veterans L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi held a meeting in New Delhi today. The meeting took place at Mr Joshi’s residence and was also attended by senior BJP leaders Yashwant Sinha and Shanta Kumar.
The meeting comes in the backdrop of suspension of MP Kirti Azad from party following his attack on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over the alleged irregularities in DDCA.
Earlier, Mr Azad had said he would seek support from Marg Darshak mandal of the party which comprises of Mr Advani and Mr Joshi among others. After Bihar poll debacle, these four veteran leaders had openly criticised BJP leadership for BJP’s defeat in assembly polls and demanded that responsibility should be fixed.
Meanwhile Kirti Azad has said he will take help from party leader Subramanian Swamy to draft his response to the BJP suspension notice.
