BJP today criticized Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. Citing recent crime incidents, party Secretary Shrikant Sharma challenged Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to recommend a CBI probe into the killing of an eight year boy, in celebratory firing by SP leaders in Shamli and other incidents.

He also referred to the alleged attack on a TV channel crew, by SP workers in Shamli and said Mr. Yadav and his party leaders want to deter media from covering such incidents. Mr. Sharma accused the state government of being failed on all fronts saying people will teach a lesson to the ruling party in the upcoming Assembly elections.
