BJP logoThe BJP has outrightly rejected the Congress demand for an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his remarks against his predecessor Dr Manmohan Singh and asserted that nothing wrong has been uttered by the Prime Minister.

Briefing reporters in New Delhi today, party spokesperson Sambit Patra alleged that the main opposition party is stalling proceedings of Parliament out of frustration following defeat in the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections.

The BJP spokesperson said, instead of seeking a clarification from Mr. Modi, the Congress should clarify why it had first denied the meeting and later accepted it. He said, it is the Congress which should tender an apology for repeated derogatory comments made by its leaders against Mr. Modi.

He said, the opposition party lacks issues to be raised in Parliament as people have given their approval to the NDA government’s reforms agenda including demonetization and GST.
