BJP today made it clear that it would not tolerate any kind of criticism against nation. Briefing media about Party National Executive meet, Senior leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said party has high respects for fair criticism against its party, its leaders and its government but ‘ it will not tolerate any kind of criticism of the nation’.
He said that Party president Amit Shah told party executive that the anti -national slogans raised in JNU campus were highly are condemnable.
Mr Prasad said, the Party President questioned those who criticized the BJP for allegedly suppressing the freedom of expression.
He said, the Party President told the executive that anti-India activities can not be justified in the name of freedom of expression.
Mr Ravi Shankar Prasad also said that NDA regime has given a corruption free government and a road-map for the welfare of poorer section of the society.
He also informed that Mr Amit Shah has hailed the Union Budget 2016-17 as pro-poor, pro-farmer and growth oriented.
Mr Shah also told the party members to reach out to the people and inform them of the work being done by the government.
On the GST Bill which is stuck in Rajya Sabha, Mr Shah said Congress is obstructing its passage due to political reasons.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also present at the meet. Earlier in the morning, officer bearers’ meeting was held.
Mr Modi will address the concluding session of the executive on Sunday. It is the first national executive after Mr Amit Shah took over as President for the second term.
