GRAND PREPARATIONS HAVE BEEN DONE TO celebrate the 38th Foundation Day of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) here today. To mark this day Maha-BJP-Maha Melava has been organized at the MMRDA grounds in the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in suburban Bandra this afternoon. BJP President Amit Shah, who arrived in Mumbai yesterday, will address the rally.
Shah, who was welcomed by means of a huge bike rally organised by Mumbai’s youth, went to the BKC and held a meeting with core committee members of the BJP state unit. For the saffron party, the Mumbai venue has an emotional connect, as its first convention after formation of the party was held in the Maharashtra capital in 1980.
Lakhs of Party workers from various parts of Maharashtra are expected to attend the BJP Maha Melava to be held at the MMRDA grounds in the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai today. BJP President Amit Shah, who arrived in Mumbai yesterday, will address the rally.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and many union ministers will also attend the mega meet. All booth workers from the state, office bearers from the BJP cells for minorities, SC, ST, Other Backward Classes, women and farmers will also attend the rally.
BJP’s Maharashtra president Raosaheb Danve said special arrangements have been made to bring the party workers to Mumbai in trains, buses and jeeps. The BJP’s Maha Melava is seen as a formal launch of the party’s campaign for the 2019 polls
The five Lok Sabha constituencies chosen are New Delhi, North East Delhi, Hamirpur in in Himachal Pradesh, North Central Mumbai and Saran in Bihar. Mr Modi will speak to thousands of party workers in these five seats beside the district presidents and their team members on a host of issues.
During the interaction, Mr Modi will listen to the ideas of the party workers, and also discuss the schemes related to the welfare of poor people. Mr Modi will also answer the queries of the party workers. This interaction with party workers at the ground level also reflects Mr Modi deep commitment and respect for the institution of booth workers.
On the ocassion Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will hold a press conference at the newly opened party headquarter in New Delhi in the afternoon .
Prime Minister has wished the party members on the ocassion. In a tweet message he said that he bows to all BJP Karyakartas on the special occasion of the Party’s Sthapana Diwas. Mr Modi said we remember, with great pride, the heroic service and sacrifice of all workers who built the BJP and committed themselves towards creating a stronger and better India.
