The West Bengal unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a directive to its district presidents to make comprehensive arrangements for party workers arriving from other states for the upcoming assembly elections.
In a circular dated April 20, State General Secretary and State Office In-charge Jagannath Chattopadhyay instructed district units to ensure proper accommodation, food, and security for these workers deployed for election duties across various constituencies.
The communication further stated that expenses incurred for these arrangements should be managed through the respective district presidents’ offices, with an emphasis on maintaining proper documentation and accounting of all expenditures.
The directive comes as political parties intensify preparations on the ground ahead of the high-stakes elections in the state.
