Magadh University Vice Chancellor Mohd. Ishtiaq has ordered suspension of Principal of Ganga Devi college Usha Sinha, following her arrest in famous Bihar Toppers scam.
Sources said the Vice Chancellor and Registrar had earlier held a meeting of officials soon after the arrest of Usha Sinha with her husband Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh, the kingpin of the Bihar merit scam in Varanasi on 20th June.
The meeting had resolved to put Usha Sinha under suspension.
Bihar’s Intermediate Arts topper Ruby Roy arrested
Meanwhile Intermediate Arts topper Ruby Roy has been arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) today in connection with merit scam.
She was arrested from the office of Bihar School Examination Board office at Patna where she had come to appear for a special interview which was organised by the Board.
Altogether 17 persons have so far been arrested in case related to scam. Earlier a local court of Patna today issued an arrest warrant against four toppers including Ruby Roy.
