PATNA: The Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements for the counting of votes of 243 Bihar Assembly seats and by-poll of Banka Parliamentary seat on Wednesday. The Commission has deputed two special observers to oversee the counting process. One Micro Observor will be deputed on every counting table. The State Chief Electoral Officer Sudhir Kumar Rakesh said that 42 counting centres have been set up through out the state. Mr. Rakesh said that counting will start at 8 in the morning and trends will be available after one hour. He said the whole counting process will be video graphed. Political fortune of 3523 candidates including 308 women will be decided tomorrow. The Congress is the only party which contested in all 243 constituencies followed by BSP which contested 239 seats. The NDA constituents-BJP and Janata Dal (United) contested 102 and 141 seats respectively, while RJD and its ally LJP contested 168 and 75 seats respectively. CPI contested on 56 seats and CPM in 30.
