BJP, JDU to contest on 17 seats each, LJP gets 6

NDA allies BJP, JD(U) and LJP today finalised the seat sharing arrangement in Bihar for next Lok Sabha elections. BJP and JD(U) will contest on 17 seats each while LJP got six seats.
This was jointly announced at a media briefing in New Delhi today by BJP Chief Amit Shah, JD(U) President and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and LJP Chief Ram Vilas Paswan.
Later, Mr. Shah said Mr. Paswan will get a Rajya Sabha berth. He said which party will fight on which seat will be announced soon.
Nitish Kumar said they will work towards ensuring NDA’s victory in the 2019 general elections. He expressed hope that in 2019 the alliance will get more seats than what it got in 2014.
Ram Vilas Paswan said he was happy with the respectable seat-sharing formula and assured that the three parties will work together for NDA’s victory.
