Efforts are going on in full swing to restore train services at the accident site at Sahadai Buzurg station in Hajipur district. Rail traffic on Hajipur- Bachhwara- Barauni section was disrupted following the derailment of Seemanchal Express in which six passengers were killed. Chief Public Relations Officer said, one line has been made operational and the first goods train passed on this section.
Six trains including Guwahati- Anand Vihar Terminal North East Express and New Delhi -Dibrugarh Town Rajdhani Express were diverted due to accident. All trains diverted via Danapur -Mokama instead of Danapur- Patliputra- Barauni will stop at Patna junction also. Three trains of Sonepur division have also been cancelled today.It includes Barauni-Patna MEMU,Barauni- Patliputra MEMU and Sonpur-Barauni MEMU.
