PATNA
The 352nd birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh is being celebrated as Prakash Utsav with religious fervour and gaiety.
Born at Patna Sahib in 1666, Guru Gobind Singh was the 10th Sikh guru. He succeeded his father Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh as leader of Sikhs at the age of just nine.
The birth anniversary of the Guru Gobind Singh is also being celebrated as Prakashotsava at Patna Sahib.
The main function is organised at Takhat Sri Harmandir Sahib Gurdwara, Patna Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh, where thousands of pilgrims across the globe are offering prayers.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also offered prayers before Guru Granth Sahib and wished welfare for the community. Special langars are also being organised.
On the eve of Guru Purab, religious processions were also organised at many places.
