Bangladesh will hold its presidential election on August 20, the Election Commission announced on Thursday.
Senior Election Commission secretary Akhtar Ahmed said voting would take place in the Parliament Chamber at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban from 2pm to 5pm.
According to the election schedule, nomination papers may be submitted to the office of the Chief Election Commissioner, who will serve as the returning officer, between 10am and 4pm on August 13.
The nominations will be scrutinised from 10am on August 16, while candidates may withdraw their papers until 4pm on August 18.
