Chief Adviser to Bangladesh’s interim government Muhammad Yunus has said that a free, fair and participatory election will be held soon after bringing necessary reforms in the state system. In a meeting with diplomats in Dhaka, Muhammad Yunus said that Bangladesh will hold a free, fair participatory election after carrying out vital reforms in our election commission, judiciary, civil administration, security forces and media.
Dr Yunus said that the top priority of the interim government will be to bring the law and order situation under control. He also assured the diplomats that the interim government will nurture friendly relations with all countries in the spirit of mutual respect and shared interests.
Earlier this month, Dr Yunus was sworn in as the Chief advisor of the interim government in Bangladesh, after the ouster of Sheikh Haseena government following a nationwide-violent protests.
