Thirty-nine candidates have filed their nomination papers for the first phase polls for the State General Elections till yesterday. Campaigning for election is going on smoothly in the state and some political parties also announced their election manifesto.
In Manipur, the nomination paper filing for both the phases of General Election to Manipur Legislative Assembly is going on now.
The last date of filing nomination paper for first phase will be tomorrow. And till yesterday, 39 candidates has filed their nomination paper for first phase polls.
For the second phase polls, the last date of filing nomination paper would be 11th February. Some of the political parties in Manipur, Congress party, NCP, NPP and KPA has announced their election manifesto in connection to the forthcoming General Election to Manipur Legislative Assembly.
The voting of first phase will be held on 27th February and voting for second phase will be held on 3rd March.
