BJP has alleged that the Assam government is misleading the people of Assam on Centre’s fund allocation. Talking to media in Guwahati today, BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma refuted the allegation of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi that the Centre has curtailed funds in central schemes. He said that the Centre is providing 100 percent fund to Assam in 30 central schemes. Mr.Sarma further said that in 38 central schemes, Assam is getting funds at 90:10 ratio.
Chief Minister Gogoi alleged that the Centre has curtailed 90:10 ration in several central schemes. Mr.Sarma said that he will file 100 crore rupees defamation case against Mr.Gogoi next week. Mr.Gogoi recently said that he had endorsed Himanta Biswa Sarma to hold talks with the AIUDF on alliance in 2011.
