Civil activist and lawyer Prashant Bhushan and his colleague Yogendra Yadav today revealed another version of AgustaWestland scam, which occurred in 2007 when Raman Singh was Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh.
Addressing a joint press conference in New Delhi, Mr Bhushan alleged that Mr Singh led government in 2007, purchased a helicopter from AgustaWestland.
Mr Bhushan accused Raman Singh’s son of acting as a service agent for the company and receiving kickbacks through his offshore companies.
They also alleged that the global tender was not called for the deal and the tender rules were seriously bypassed. They also claimed that 1.5 million dollar was paid as kickback.
