Four people were killed and eight others injured after a speeding fertiliser-laden lorry rammed into a parked auto near Kambham Y Junction in the Markapuram district early this morning. The victims, all from Giddalur, were travelling to Kambham to attend a wedding and had stopped near a Vinayaka temple to offer prayers when the accident occurred. Three people died on the spot, while the child succumbed to injuries during treatment. The injured were shifted to hospitals in Giddalur and Kambham. Police registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident.
