BJP has appointed Union Minister Ananth Kumar as party in-charge for election affairs in Bihar. Another Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be the co- in charge. The move is aimed at fine tuning party strategy and launching focused campaign in the state where elections are due later this year. BJP President Amit Shah will visit Bihar on 21st of this month to attend the Yoga Day function.

Sources said during his visit, he will also hold consultations with state leadership about the party’s preparations for the polls. Sources also said BJP will abide by the state unit’s view over seat sharing with its allies LJP, RLSP and former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi led Hindustani Awam Morcha.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Bhupendra Yadav met LJP Chief and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan in New Delhi this evening to discuss the alliance issue. Yesterday, BJP President Amit Shah had also talks with another NDA ally RLSP Chief and Union Minister Upendra Kuswaha in this regard.
