The ongoing Amaranth yartra from Jammu is suspended for the 3rd consecutive day today. Police Control Room official in Jammu said that the Jammu Srinagar National Highway is closed or vehicular traffic. Due to this reason the Yatra from Jammu has been suspended on the 3rd consecutive day today. He said that after the highway is cleared for the traffic, the decision to allow the Yatra would be taken keeping in view the weather conditions.
Meanwhile, around 100 yatries today left via Baltal route and around 150 yatries through Pahalgam towards holy Amarnath cave. Raj Bhawan sources informed that on the 39th day of the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra 1548 Yatris paid obeisance at the Holy Cave yesterday whileas a total of over 3 lakh 39 thousand Yatris had darshan of Shiv Lingam after paying obeisance at the Holy Cave since start of Yatra on 2nd of last month. There is overcast in Baltal and pahalgam routes.
