An Air Ambulance with seven persons on board made an emergency landing in Najafgarh area in Delhi today. According to Delhi fire officials, all passengers are safe but one person sustained injuries. The chartered plane of Alchemist airlines was on its way from Patna to New Delhi.
On the plane was a doctor, a heart patient being carried from Patna to a Delhi hospital, and a technician besides the crew.
The pilot decided to make an emergency landing after its engines shut down one after the other just as it was approaching the runway, and possibly averted a major disaster.
Just after landing, the pilot called the Air Traffic Control.
The patient, Virendra Rai, was rushed from the site to the Medanta Medicity.
