AMN / LUCKNOW
Perhaps for the first time a delegation of All India Muslim Personal Law Board AIMPLB today met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister with its demands.
The Delegation met CM Yogi at his residence and registered its objection to the notice issued to madrasas in the state. The delegation handed over a memorandum to the Chief Minister and demanded immediate withdrawal of the order.
The delegation of the Board told the Chief Minister that these madrasas are being declared unrecognised on the basis that they are not affiliated to the Madrasa Board, whereas these madrasas have been established under some trust or society for years and modern education is also imparted in them along with religious education. The delegation of the Board clarified that this order issued by the Chief Secretary is also against the provisions 14, 21, 26, 28, 29 and 30 of the Constitution of the country.
Led by Board General Secretary Maulana Fazlurrahim Mujaddadi, the delegation members include Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahali, Maulana Atiq Ahmed Bastavi, Dr. Qasim Rasool Ilyas, Saud Rais Advocate and Zeeshan Khan.
The Chief Minister reportedly assured the delegation to consider the matter seriously.
