The All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Bhubaneswar has started admitting students to post graduate (PG) courses for upcoming academic session, starting July. Four students have opted for various PG courses in Bhubaneswar.

The first round of centralized counselling took place in New Delhi on June 6 for AIIMS New Delhi and its sister centres in Bhubaneswar, Rishikesh and Jodhpur. The next round of counselling is scheduled to be held tomorrow.

Dean of the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar Vikas Bhatia said the institute will admit 16 students, two each in the eight non-clinical departments.

Admissions to the PG courses will be held twice every year, for sessions starting in July and January. Official sources said the 400-bed AIIMS hospital in the city is projected to be a 1,000-bed hospital when fully commissioned.
