The government aims to double the income of farmers by 2022 and with initiatives like Pradhan Mantri-KISAN Samman Nidhi PM-KISAN, E-NAM, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana farmers are getting benefits.
Starting from production to marketing, government is emphasising on every point.
The Agriculture Budget which was around 25 to 30 thousand crore rupees before 2014, increased to one lakh 50 thousand crore rupees.
75 thousand crore rupees are being sent to Farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer under PM KISAN.
