Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that Food security is a key foundation of National Security hence Agriculture should be the topmost agenda of Union as well as state Governments.
He was speaking at concluding function of National Consultation on Agriculture workshop organised by Vaikunth Mehata National Institute of Cooperative Management in Pune Today.
Vice President said that a slogan Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan will play important role in National security. Regarding reforms in agricultural sector Mr. Naidu said that Producer and Consumer both should get the benefits of Reforms. He appealed to concentrate on Productivity and Sustained Growth.
Minister of state for Panchayat Raj and Agriculture Puroshottam Rupala also expressed his views on this occasion, Maharashtra Minister for Food Supply Girish Bapat, renowned agriculture scientist I. V. Subba Rao and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Eminent agriculture experts participated in the 2 day workshop, organised under Swarajya to Surajya Series of National Consultation on Agriculture.
