India’s Defence Minister Arun Jaitley has said that because of the country’s geographical location, it has to remain fully prepared all time. The harsh reality of today’s modern world was that India because of its geographical location has to remain prepared, he said, adding that the country’s preparedness was the best because it is confident of the defence forces.
The country’s defence forces represented the best traditions anywhere in the world, the Minister said after handing over the Long range Surface-to-Air missile (LRSAM) to vice chief of naval staff Vice Admiral Karambir Singh.
Praising Indian research capabilities, Mr Jaitley said during the last two decades some of the best and top companies, including pharmaceutical and IT from various parts of the world, had shifted their base to India because of availability of quality human resource.
