The ban on Internet services in the Darjeeling Hills was extended today till the 4th of August. The ban had been imposed on 18th of June to prevent misuse of social networking sites.
The Hills are facing indefinite shutdown for the last 41 days for carving out a separate state of Gorkhaland out of West Bengal.
