Farmers from over 50 organisations and drawn from seven states, including the likes of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, would be launching a nationwide protest against the alleged ‘anti-agriculturists’ farm policy of the Narendra Modi government.
“We will launch a nationwide protest. A country wide road jam will be observed on August 9 especially in the seven states in north and central India coinciding with the August Kranti Day of August 9,” said a farmers’ leader Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Mr Sharma also nicknamed ‘Kakkaji’ will be meeting at least 25 farmers’ leaders from the states like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Kerala soon.
