UNION MINISTER Kiren Rijiju has said that it is a historic opportunity for the people of Manipur in bringing a change. He added that if we miss this opportunity it will be too late.
He said that BJP is fairly a new political party for North Eastern region of the nation. BJP has the objective of analysing the party to shape it to suit the needs of the people and development.
He was speaking at the flag hoisting cum political campaign for R .Yuh Jonathan Tao, BJP candidate for Karong (ST) assembly constituency today at Oinam hill village.
Kiren Rijiju was Chief Guest at the function and S.Warsaw president Karong A/c Mandal attended as the presiding officer.
Rijiju maintained that Manipur is full of resources with beautiful landscape, with its very fertile valley surrounded by beautiful hills inhibited by very vibrant communities of Naga, Kuki and various sub tribes.

This beautiful land of Manipur is not making any news and people from other part of the world think Manipur is full of violence, troubles and problems.
Why not this beauty of Manipur is not known to the world but the problem becomes the identity, he questioned.
Manipur has much potential to shine producing great sport persons, academician but it is unfortunate that the Congress party had badly shaping the state.
He alleged that the Congress party has tried to create division within hill and plains, create division in the name of religion.
He appeal the youth to give up arms and come back to the mainstream of the society.
The authority concerned is asked to complete road maps for the NE Region that will connect India with Myanmar by roadways by April this year.
