CBI has arrested Lok Sabha MP and Trinamool Congress leader Sudip Bandopadhyay in connection with Rose Valley chit fund scam.Sources said that the TMC leader was arrested after being questioned for more than 3 hours at the CBI office in Kolkata today. Earlier, talking to reporters on his arrival at the CBI office for questioning, Mr Bandopadhyay alleged political vendetta against him and his party by the Central government.
His arrest came soon after another party MP Tapas Pal was sent to police custody in the case. Rose Valley scam, which was also being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate, encompasses a larger amount of money swindling as compared to the Saradha case.
